Joshua Reed Memorial Golf Tournament T-Shirt 2023

Joshua Reed was a young man who loved life and truly lived it to the fullest. He had countless friends and gave them countless nicknames. He was loyal and truly devoted to his family and the people he loved. Joshua was always willing to help a stranger. He loved animals and was an avid dove, duck and deer hunter. He loved fishing, wakeboarding and waterskiing. Joshua loved beach trips, concerts, nights in Starkville and cheering on the MSU bulldogs. He was an avid golfer and won many tournaments with his dad at the Louisville Country Club.
Joshua graduated from EMCC with a degree in electrical technology and worked for the forestry commission.
He went back to school to become a lineman, which he truly loved and was passionate about.
Joshua had a contagious smile and a spirit that made you drawn to him.
He loved his girlfriend Maggie Mann and their golden doodle Teddy with all of his being.
Joshua served others, even in his death by being an organ donor.
In this way, Joshua’s spirit lives on through another person’s life.
How selfless he was, even in death.
Through Joshua’s last week on earth, he built the kingdom by spreading Joshua 1:9, and his life was a testament of faith and God’s goodness.
Joshua always told people, “If I die doing something that I love, then let me go.”
Joshua died driving his white Z71 that he was so very proud of, riding with his beloved Maggie and their dog, Teddy.
In such a terrible tragedy, it was certainly not how we intended or wanted, but it was God’s plan. And what a gracious God we serve who gave us 24 precious years with such an incredible person.

The Joshua Reed Memorial Golf Tournament is now established to honor and remember the life and legacy of Joshua Reed.
All proceeds from the tournament and t-shirt sales will benefit the Joshua Reed Memorial Lineman Scholarship for another individual to pursue a career in the field of lineman work.
